TOBA AQUARIUM
Toba Aquarium is actually both a museum and one of Japan's top marine life research facilities. Toba specializes in breeding rare and endangered marine animals so they can be conserved. Though the baikal seals they are very popular for here in the seal community are not endangered, they do get lots of care and affection and have become a popular attraction. In addition, Toba Aquarium also houses harbor seals, spotted seals, and even gray seals, which I rarely see in japanese aquariums nowadays! (this could just be coincidence)

Want to see updates on all of the lovely marine life and your favorite seals at Toba? Tap here- this diary goes back years and has lovely entries written by caretakers.

Note: I have no affiliation with the Toba Aquarium or any other aquariums listed here.
